This Privacy Policy explains how Moneymax handles information when you use the Moneymax mobile app on Android or iOS. Replace the bracketed publisher and contact details before publishing this policy in Google Play Console, App Store Connect, your website, or inside the app.

Summary

Moneymax is designed as a local-first personal finance and budgeting app. Your accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, bills, subscriptions, reminders, notes, and app settings are stored on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a Moneymax cloud service that receives your financial records.

Moneymax uses Google Mobile Ads to show ads. Google and its advertising partners may collect device, advertising, diagnostic, app interaction, and approximate location information in order to provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and maintain the ad service.

If you export a backup, Moneymax creates a backup file on your device and opens your device share sheet. You choose where to send or store that file, such as a cloud drive, email app, or local file manager. Those destinations are controlled by their own privacy policies.

Information Moneymax Handles

Financial and Budgeting Data

Moneymax lets you enter and manage financial information, including:

• Account names, account types, balances, colors, icons, and currencies. status, debt or loan labels, counterparties, due dates, and settlement status. reminders, and related dates or notes. local financial records.

This data is stored locally on your device in the app database. Moneymax does not send this financial data to a Moneymax server.

App Settings and Preferences

Moneymax stores app preferences on your device, including theme, language, currency, notification preferences, safe-spend threshold, onboarding state, backup timestamps, text prediction terms, app lock settings, and similar local configuration.

If you create an app PIN, the PIN is stored locally on the device and is not sent to us. Biometric unlock, when enabled, is handled by your device operating system. Moneymax does not receive your fingerprint, face scan, or other biometric templates.

Backup and Restore Files

When you export a backup, Moneymax creates a JSON backup file that may include your accounts, categories, transactions, budgets, goals, recurring transactions, goal contributions, settings, and app notifications. The file is prepared on your device and then shared only through destinations you choose in the system share sheet.

When you import a backup, Moneymax reads the file you select and restores the records inside it to the local app database. Importing a backup may replace existing local financial data.

Backup files are not encrypted by Moneymax before sharing. You should store backup files only in locations you trust and delete old backup files when you no longer need them.
